Standard Operating Procedure for Dish Washing Machine Maintenance Checklist

To ensure that dishwashing machines run efficiently in hotels, it is important to establish a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for their maintenance. The first step is to create a cleaning schedule that outlines the tasks that need to be performed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

Daily tasks may include wiping down the exterior of the machine, checking the detergent and rinse aid levels, and removing any debris from the filters. Weekly tasks may include cleaning the interior of the machine, checking the water temperature and pressure, and inspecting the spray arms for damage. Monthly tasks may include descaling the machine and checking the water hardness level. Quarterly tasks may include checking the electrical connections and inspecting the hoses for wear and tear.

It is important to train staff on the SOP and ensure that they understand the importance of following it. Regular inspections should be conducted to ensure that the SOP is being followed and to identify any issues that may need to be addressed. By following a well-designed SOP, hotels can ensure that their dishwashing machines are running efficiently and that guests are provided with clean and hygienic dishes.
